Job summary

Pinnacus is hiring a CNC Programmer in Wichita, KS to develop programs for 3, 4 and 5-axis high-speed NC machines. You will read designs and specifications, determine machining requirements, and prepare NC programs to manufacture tight-tolerance parts, maximizing efficiency through optimal cutter paths.

The role includes a $4,000 sign-on bonus and a pay rate of $32-$47 per hour. Direct hire with growth opportunities across multiple level responsibilities.

Qualifications

• General Manufacturing Knowledge.
• Able to read, interpret and understand blueprints, mylars and related documents.
• Knowledgeable of feeds, speeds, cutter types and material removal methods for specific materials.
• Familiar with machine codes.
• Demonstrate good communication skills.
• Solid math, reading, and writing due to the high level of the systems.
• Able to plan detailed sequence of operations for programs and provide sufficient documentation.
• Work from written and verbal instructions.
• Able to program 3-4 axis parts using CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and program simple parts and tooling.
• Program complex 5-axis parts.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software for tooling design.
• Assist manufacturing with process improvements.
