Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for its Arlington, TX area manufacturing team. You will analyze drawings, program and calibrate CNC machines, and run trials to ensure precise, efficient production of mechanical components.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of experience programming and setting up CNC turning.
Experience with CAM software preferred.
Strong understanding of basic machining practices.
Solid math skills and ability to communicate technical details.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Reliable work ethic and precision orientation.

Responsibilities

Analyze specifications from job orders, blueprints, and drawings to determine dimensions and tooling.
Program CNC machines using CAM software to optimize precision and efficiency.
Set up CNC equipment, calibrate tools, and verify machine function before production.
Conduct trial runs and adjust programs to minimize errors.
Maintain safety and cleanliness on the shop floor and follow PPE requirements.
Provide cross-departmental support to ensure smooth production operations.
