CNC Programmer – Direct Hire
Location: York, PA
Pay Rate: Salary: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
Shift: 7 AM – 4 PM OR 8 AM – 5 PM
What You Will Do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CNC programs, tooling plans, and revision controls, ensuring accurate and efficient manufacturing execution.
- Evaluate facilities, equipment, tooling, processes, and systems for modification or replacement; manage procurement of new or replacement equipment and tooling as needed.
- Analyze operating costs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce expenses, and support company financial goals.
- Prepare customer bids, technical proposals, and capital equipment/tooling justifications for current and prospective business opportunities.
- Research, recommend, and implement new manufacturing technologies, processes, and best practices while providing engineering support and troubleshooting throughout production operations.
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for salaried and hourly employees; promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and company-wide adoption of manufacturing technologies and systems.
- Foster a safe, organized, and compliant work environment by collaborating with team members to identify, address, and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards.
Education Requirements
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in CAD, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, machining, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment (not a job shop), with a strong understanding of machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience using CAD software to create, modify, and support manufacturing drawings, tooling, fixtures, and production-related projects.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving experience in a manufacturing environment, including process improvement, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T, with a thorough understanding of machining methods and cutting tool applications.
- Working knowledge of CAM software, CNC programming, cutting tool geometry, feeds and speeds, and process optimization.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with CAD systems, Microsoft Office applications, databases, ERP/MRP systems, and production scheduling tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, support cross‑functional teams, and quickly learn new technologies and manufacturing processes.
