Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN is seeking a CNC Machinist in York, PA to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes for precision components. The role requires blueprints, GD&T knowledge, and measurement accuracy, with potential for temp-to-hire and overtime based on demand.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm with a long weekend each week. Four-day weeks and long-term career growth are highlighted in the perquisites and team environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe experience preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience programming/editing CNC programs and set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Program, edit, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision-machined components.
• Read blueprints, interpret GD&T specifications, verify first-piece inspections, and perform quality checks throughout production runs.
• Troubleshoot machine operations, adjust tooling and offsets, complete production documentation, and maintain equipment and work areas.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe experience preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading skills, GD&T knowledge, machining math, and experience using precision measurement equipment.
• Ability to program and/or edit CNC programs, perform machine setups, and work with minimal supervision.
