Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring for a CNC Waterjet Operator in York, PA. The role is a direct hire with a pay rate of $25.00 - $28.00 per hour and a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

The candidate will program, set up, and operate CNC waterjet equipment to produce precise components and support efficient production. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with technical schooling or CNC programming education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC waterjet equipment to cut metal and plastic parts.
• Read blueprints and specs to ensure accurate production.
• Set up, load/unload, and move materials with appropriate handling equipment.
• Monitor cutting operations; verify quality throughout production.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers and other tools.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of waterjet equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Safely operate shop equipment including waterjets, brakes, saws, forklifts, and cranes.

Education Requirements

Job Duties

• Operate and program CNC waterjet cutting equipment to produce metal and plastic components

• Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools

• Safely operate shop equipment including waterjets, press brakes, saws, forklifts, and overhead cranes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.
• Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.
• Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Waterjet Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
