Manpower, Inc. is seeking a CNC Programmer in Traverse City, MI to own the programming workflow—from interpreting drawings to running test programs and optimizing machining sequences.

The role focuses on multi-axis machining, setting up programs, and collaborating with teams to improve efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of CNC programming experience, with hands-on work on Mori Seiki 5-axis, Doosan 3-axis and 5-axis centers, plus proficiency with Fusion 360 or ESPRIT.

Our client, a local leader in precision manufacturing, is seeking CNC Programmers. As a CNC Programmer, you’ll take ownership of turning engineering intent into precise, repeatable machining results.

Job Title: CNC Programmer

Location: Traverse City, MI

Pay Range:$28.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience

Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday

What's the Job?

• Write, revise, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Translate engineering drawings and 3D models into accurate machining instructions.
• Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Set up or assist with setting up CNC machines to validate new or revised programs, including performing test runs and making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to resolve machining issues and ensure product conformity.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in CNC manufacturing and programming.REQUIRED
• Experience programming and operating Mori Seiki 5-axis, Doosan 3-axis, and Doosan 5-axis machining centers.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and material characteristics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency with Fusion 360 or ESPRIT preferred
