Job summary

United Engineered Technologies in Traverse City is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer to set up, program, and run Mazak and Doosan machines in a precision shop. Proficiency with MasterCAM and Fusion 360 is preferred; Mazatrol and Fanuc controllers are used daily.

Candidates will perform first article and in-process inspections, troubleshoot issues, and adjust controls to maintain quality according to QA procedures. Strong attention to detail is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required.
• Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers a plus.
• MasterCAM programming experience preferred.
• Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill.
• Prefer 2 years experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.

• Machine components for first articles as well as production runs.
• Monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes; adjust and reprogram control while adhering to QA procedures and in-process inspections.

CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer needed for a precision machine shop in Traverse City.

Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required. Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers is a plus. Swiss-type lathe experience also a plus. MasterCAM programming experience preferred.

Pay is based on experience and proven skill at $20.00 - $26.00 to start.

First and Second shifts available; typically Mon-Thur., 10-hour shifts, with overtime available on Fridays. Start times are flexible, if needed.
