Job summary

Staff Management | SMX in Snoqualmie, WA, is seeking a CNC Programmer to program production parts, tooling, and R&D projects. You will collaborate across departments to ensure that finished parts meet quality standards and on-time delivery.

Requirements include 2+ years CNC milling programming, 4+ years machining experience, and knowledge of GD&T, Excel, and CAD tools. GibbsCAM or camQuix experience is a plus. This is a first-shift, temp-to-hire or full-time opportunity with weekly pay.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years' CNC mill programming experience.
  • 4+ years of related machining and tool development.
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and initiative.
  • Strong knowledge of surface feet calculation, tooling, GD&T, MS Excel/Word.
  • Experience with GibbsCAM and CAM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Program parts prior to release using 3D CAM software.
  • Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.
  • Update CNC programs and processes to optimize lead times.
  • Maintain a macro-based program library.
  • Communicate requirements across shifts and document irregularities.
  • Verify operations per documents and adhere to QA and 5S policies.
  • Assist in SOP development for the CNC work cell.
  • Work across multiple shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Staff Management is hiring for a CNC Programmer will be responsible for the programming of production parts, tooling, R&D projects, and engagement with MDI processes. The CNC Programmer will work closely with other internal departments to ensure that the company's finished products meet our customers' expectations of superior quality and on time delivery.

  • Shift - Monday to Friday 6a to 2:30p

Pay Rate: $36.00 / hour

Duties:
  • Program parts prior to release of work to the machining work cell using 3D CAM software.
  • Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.
  • Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of a macro-based program library.
  • Maintain continuity between two work shifts by communicating requirements, documenting irregularities and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Verify all operations have been completed as specified on the documents.
  • Adhere to company safety and 5S policies.
  • Perform work in accordance with Quality Assurance Program policies.
  • Assist in the development of operations and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the CNC machining work cell.
  • Work across multiple shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Associates' Degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years' experience programming CNC mills.
  • 4+ years of related machining and tool development.
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to setup and operate CNC machining centers.
  • Must have strong knowledge of surface feet calculation, machine tool technology, tooling application, GD&T drawing standards, MS Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of machining high tolerance parts.
  • Able to clearly communicate and document non-conformances and perform root cause analysis.
  • Experience with geometry creation using CAD software is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with GibbsCAM and/or camQuix is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 30 pounds., required education: Associates Degree.
