Must have Mastercam experience and 5-axis programming. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving are essential, with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule and $30-$40/hour DOE.

Qualifications

Must have 2 years of CNC programming or machining experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
Experience with CAM software and CNC programming required.
Mastercam experience and 5-axis programming essential.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and other CNC equipment.
Review drawings and specifications to determine machining processes.
Select tooling, workholding, feeds, speeds, and strategies.
Create and optimize toolpaths to improve quality and efficiency.
Verify programs prior to production and troubleshoot issues.
Support setups with accurate programs and offsets.
Collaborate with machinists to resolve programming and process issues.
Revise programs based on inspection results and changes.
Assist with first articles and production runs; ensure quality and safety.
Follow document control, traceability, and quality procedures.

Job Overview:

The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs used to manufacture precision-machined components. This position interprets engineering drawings, models, specifications, and customer requirements to create efficient and accurate machining processes. The CNC Programmer works closely with CNC Machinists, Quality, and Management to ensure programs produce quality parts safely, efficiently, and consistently. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MASTERCAM. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH 5 AXIS PROGRAMMING

Responsibilities:

Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and other CNC equipment.
Review engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and job requirements to determine appropriate machining processes.
Select appropriate tooling, workholding, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.
Create and optimize toolpaths to improve part quality, cycle time, tool life, and overall production efficiency.
Verify CNC programs prior to production and identify potential programming, tooling, or machining issues.
Support machine setups by providing accurate programs, tooling information, work offsets, and setup instructions.
Work with CNC Machinists to troubleshoot programming, setup, tooling, and machining issues.
Make program revisions and adjustments based on inspection results, production feedback, engineering changes, or process improvements.
Support first article and production runs by troubleshooting and optimizing machining processes.
Follow company procedures for document control, revision control, material identification, traceability, and quality requirements.
Use JobBOSS² and other company systems as required to maintain accurate job and production information.
Work with Quality to address nonconforming product and determine appropriate programming or process corrections.
Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, feeds and speeds, and machining strategies.
Experience with CAM software and CNC programming.
Ability to understand and work with CAD models and technical drawings.
Understanding of CNC machine controls and G-code/M-code.
Knowledge of inspection methods and precision measuring equipment.
Basic understanding of mathematics, geometry, and unit conversions.
Experience working with JobBOSS² or other manufacturing ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Ability to learn and follow customer-specific and company-specific manufacturing requirements
