Job summary

Aerotek in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a CNC Programmer to join a small prototype shop supporting medical, aerospace, industrial, and consumer markets. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, machinists, and product fabricators to deliver precision parts, set up 5-axis mills, and contribute to programming new prototype components.

The role emphasizes a hands-on approach in a clean, collaborative shop with growth from rapid prototyping to streamlined production and on-time delivery,

Qualifications

  • CNC programming proficiency with Mastercam and SolidWorks.
  • Experience creating fixtures from a program and setting up machines.
  • Five years minimum experience in machine programming and setup.
  • Ability to meet work deadlines and track time/materials to meet production and budget goals.
  • Effective communication with supervisors and engineers.
  • MasterCAM expertise is a plus.
  • Ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to sign confidentiality agreements.

  • Communicate improvements and optimizations to the engineering department.

Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

Join a dynamic and creative team that develops products for a variety of industries including medical, aerospace, industrial, and consumer markets. As a CNC Programmer, you will collaborate with experienced Industrial Designers, Engineers, Machinists, and Product Fabricators to deliver exceptional designs, prototypes, and products to customers. This role is a result of exponential growth, aimed at reducing lead times from six weeks to three weeks. You will engage in light programming, set up 5-axis mills, run parts, and assist in programming new prototype parts.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Operate and program 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling and CNC turning, preferably using Haas and DMG Mori/Siemens Control.
