Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers to produce precision components.
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam to ensure efficient and accurate machining operations.
  • Select and configure tooling, fixtures, and workholding for optimal cutting performance and part quality.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining strategies, tolerances, and process steps.
  • Verify part dimensions and quality using appropriate measuring tools, and adjust programs or setups as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming, and machine performance to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Optimize machining parameters such as feeds, speeds, and tool paths to improve cycle times and tool life while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine processes and ensure repeatable results.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including routine checks of machines and tooling.
  • Document programs, setups, and process changes clearly for future production runs.

A long-established manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machining Center Specialist / Expert to support a growing workload and backfill several recent retirements. In this hands‑on, non‑management role, you will operate, tool, and program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines to produce high‑precision components. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
