You will combine hands‑on shop floor support with engineering office work to improve manufacturability, drive process improvements, and support new product development in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, and validate CNC programs, including defining setup, tooling, speeds, and feeds for efficient and reliable machining.
  • Create CNC programs for new parts and optimize existing programs to improve cycle time, quality, and overall process efficiency.
  • Design and document manufacturing processes, including setup sheets, tool sheets, and process sketches, to ensure clear and consistent execution on the shop floor.
  • Support day‑to‑day shop floor operations by troubleshooting machining issues and providing technical guidance to production teams.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and gages using CAD software to support precision machining and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate part manufacturability and support quoting activities by reviewing drawings, tolerances, and process requirements.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and lead root‑cause and corrective action (RCCA) initiatives to resolve quality and productivity issues.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to support production ramp‑up, quality initiatives, and engineering changes.
  • Participate in new product development efforts by contributing manufacturing expertise and ensuring robust CNC processes are in place.
  • Analyze machining and process data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that enhance throughput and reduce waste.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an Associate’s degree in a technical field combined with equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience in a production environment.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience using Mastercam for CNC programming, with 4‑ and 5‑axis programming strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in CNC mill and lathe machining, including setup and operation support.
  • Strong CNC programming skills for multi‑axis machining (4‑ and 5‑axis).
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application in machining and inspection.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of complex aerospace drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with CNC machining operations such as milling, turning, and grinding.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and process performance to drive improvements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills related to machining processes and CNC programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using Mastercam as the primary CAM software for programming complex parts.
  • Familiarity with Unigraphics NX (Siemens NX) or similar CAD/CAM tools for tooling and fixture design.
  • Experience designing tooling, fixtures, and gages to support precision machining.
  • Background in aerospace or other high‑precision, high‑complexity manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or participate in root‑cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Interest in continuous learning and developing advanced CNC programming and process engineering skills.
