Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a growing industrial machinery manufacturer in Michigan. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-precision turning, milling, drilling, and boring operations.

You will read complex drawings, program and set up CNC equipment, and maintain strict quality standards while collaborating with a skilled CNC team. A strong track record in CNC CAM programming and dependable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of conventional and/or CNC machine operating experience.
  • 3+ years of CNC CAM programming experience.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining and precision manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Physical requirements apply.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret complex drawings, program sheets, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Program, set up, and perform changeovers on CNC equipment.
  • Perform precision turning, milling, drilling, boring, and related machining operations.
  • Work to close and interrelated tolerances while maintaining demanding quality standards.
  • Inspect and gauge parts throughout the machining process.
  • Measure finished workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Run multiple machines simultaneously when applicable.
  • Maintain clean machines, tooling, work areas, and finished parts.
  • Work collaboratively with the CNC team to solve problems and keep jobs moving.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Do
