Job summary

VSSI Staffing Services, LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our machine shop team in Tennessee. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to produce precision parts efficiently, safely, and to customer specifications.

You will work closely with machinists, engineering, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety and shop standards. Proficiency with G-code, CAD/CAM, GD&T, and multi-axis controls is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC mills and/or lathes (3-, 4-, or 5-axis a plus).
• Proficient with G-code and M-code programming.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar).
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• High attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Experience in a job shop or high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Ability to train or mentor machinists and junior programmers.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, lubricants, and metal chips.
