  • Select tooling, holders, workholding, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies based on material, tolerances, part geometry, finish requirements, and machine capability.
  • Independently set up, prove out, and complete CNC milling jobs, including fixtures, tooling, offsets, program loading, first-piece verification, and in-process inspection.
  • Program and support roughing, finishing, drilling, contouring, pocketing, and 3-axis or 5-axis machining operations.
  • Operate and monitor multiple CNC machines as workload and job complexity allow.
  • Troubleshoot programming, tooling, fixture, machine-operation, and quality issues; make approved adjustments and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Use heat-shrink tooling equipment and maintain tools, fixtures, machines, and a clean work area.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
  • Document job time, setups, program changes, tooling, and inspection activity daily.
