Job summary

STAR is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in Minnesota to create and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and machining. You will interpret drawings, select tooling, and supervise prove-outs to enhance efficiency and quality.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in machining or manufacturing technology.
  • 2+ years CNC programming experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and machining operations.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining processes.

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support efficient production of high-quality parts. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications and production goals.
