Job Description Summary

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Develop advanced CMC technology to ensure GEA - Newark, DE’s competitive position and develop robust manufacturing processes for producing consistent, quality products for GEA - Newark, DE customers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • CNC Programming
  • CAD/CAM/Nx Modeling
  • Conventional and non-conventional machining (i.e. Hole Drilling, Laser Drilling/Machining, 5-axis machining)
  • Responsible for machining process step(s) in CMC component fabrication
  • Able to interpret manufacturing requirements, interact with engineering to understanding customer CTQ’s, develop new processes based on part-specific requirements, and control the quality of the CMC process steps by setting USL/LSL on key processing parameters.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma methodology able to incorporate in job performance
  • Work with Engineers in developing part-specific Manufacturing Process Documents that contains detailed instructions for carrying out a specific process (i.e. Manufacturing planning).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Chemical, etc.) + Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Chemical, etc. experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
