Job summary

General Electric Company is seeking a skilled CNC programmer and inspector to join our manufacturing team in New Hampshire. You will work from blueprints to produce hardware, set up machines, and ensure calibration and tooling readiness while meeting stringent quality standards.

You will utilize micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and SPC/MSA data to verify dimensions, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience, including 2 years of CNC programming; OR Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with at least 2 years of CNC programming experience.
  • Technical certification in a related field is desirable.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating precision inspection gauges, measurement tools, computer-based inspection workstations, and advanced instruments.
  • Strong mathematical skills—algebra, geometry, trigonometry—for precision measurement.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based tools for data analysis and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC and conventional manufacturing machine tools, aligning operations with business objectives, and leveraging advanced programming techniques to meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to produce hardware that meets design specifications.
  • Ensure calibration, tooling, and machine readiness to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools—micrometers, calipers, height gauges—to verify part dimensions and QC requirements.
  • Collaborate with operators, engineers, and technicians to align on inspection requirements and processes.
  • Create detailed process plans for inspection and measurement activities, updating documentation as needed.
  • Provide hands‑on training and mentorship to employees and CMM apprentices.
  • Collect and analyze measurement data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Produce reports, presentations, and documentation with Microsoft Office and web‑based applications.
  • Participate in cross‑training initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform related duties in environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, production flow, and continuous improvement.
  • Attend shift crossover and business‑required meetings.
  • Participate in training duties as required.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience, including 2 years of CNC programming; ORAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with at least 2 years of CNC programming experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Technical certification in a related field (e.g., aerospace engineering, mechanical systems).

  • Strong mathematical skills—algebra, geometry, trigonometry—for precision measurement and engineering analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience with CNC machines and digital inspection equipment, including programming and interpretation of results.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web‑based tools for data analysis and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
