Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our engineering team on first shift. This permanent role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to manufacture precision components using Mastercam.

You will collaborate with design and production to meet tight deadlines and uphold quality standards. The ideal candidate has at least five years in CNC programming, holds a tech degree, and can read blueprints.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in engineering.
  • 2- or 4-year technical degree (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Mastercam software.
  • Experience with calipers and micrometers.
  • Knowledge of tool and die, fixtures and tooling.
  • Experience with CMM for inspection and validation.
  • Strong CNC setup and operation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork; safety oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam for parts.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Inspect finished parts with calipers and micrometers.
  • Create and modify fixtures and tooling.
  • Use CMM equipment for part inspection and validation.
  • Troubleshoot machine and program issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Pursue ongoing education and stay current with industry trends.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to produce precision components. You will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure the highest quality of work, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining our company's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and write precise CNC programs using Mastercam for manufacturing various parts and components.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they run efficiently and produce high-quality parts.
  • Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of tool and die to create and modify fixtures and tooling.
  • Use CMM equipment for part inspection and validation, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and programs.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve production processes and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC programming role in the engineering industry.
  • 2 or 4 year Tech Degree required (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in programming with Mastercam software.
  • Demonstrated experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Extensive knowledge of tool and die, including the ability to create and modify fixtures and tooling.
  • Experience with CMM equipment for part inspection and validation.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machine setup and operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
