Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Programmer to join our team. This hands-on role focuses on writing programs for the CNC department, coordinating multiple projects, and delivering precise parts in a fast-paced shop.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of manufacturing experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with MasterCam and Siemens controls. This full-time on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills with MasterCam.
  • Ability to read engineering prints and GD&T.
  • Develop and program work-holding fixtures and jaws.
  • Select speeds, feeds, and tooling for various materials.
  • Read and understand G-code.
  • Schedule production with department lead to ensure smooth workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency with MasterCam to program 3,4 and 5 Axis Mills.
  • Read engineering prints and GD&T.
  • Develop and program fixtures and jaws.
  • Select speeds/feeds and tooling for materials.
  • Read and understand G-code and ensure workflow alignment.
  • Coordinate multiple projects in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Job description

Experienced CNC 5-Axis Programmer with 5+ years of experience to join our Team. This position requiring hands-on and the individual will be responsible for writing programs for our CNC department. Candidate must possess a strong manufacturing knowledge, time management, and have the ability to coordinate multiple projects. Essential Job Functions:
  • Demonstrate proficiency with MasterCam to program 3,4 and 5 Axis Mills
  • Ability to read engineering prints, including the ability to understand GD&T
  • Develop and program work-holding fixtures and jaws
  • Must be able to select speeds, feeds, and tooling types for various types of materials
  • Ability to read and understand G-code
  • Work with the department lead to schedule production, and scheduling to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Must have the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to work with a high mix, low volume production/prototyping parts,
  • preferred but not required
  • Experienced with Siemens Control
  • Experience with CamPlete Verification Software
  • Fulfill our Quality System requirements as required.
  • Team Oriented. (Works well with others and pitches in as necessary to get the job done.)

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and twist as required to perform job duties
Wage Range/Hours of Work:
  • $30-$40 Hour
  • Hourly Position
  • Full-Time, Min. 45 Hour Work Week.
  • Monday thru Friday, Sat if Required
Location:
  • On site required/hands-on duties
  • Non-Remote

Qualifications:
