We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support complex manufacturing operations by developing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and verifying CNC programs for advanced machine tools. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Mastercam, VERICUT, CNC machine controls, and macro‑based programming, with the ability to improve machining efficiency, accuracy, quality, and process reliability.
This role will support high‑precision, heavy‑manufacturing operations involving complex components and exotic materials. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with manufacturing engineers and shop‑floor operators, troubleshooting CNC programming issues, supporting machine startups, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain CNC programs using Mastercam, Siemens NX, Esprit 2000, or other applicable CAD/CAM software.
- Develop programs for multi‑axis milling, turning, grinding, and other advanced machining applications.
- Verify CNC programs prior to shop‑floor release using VERICUT.
- Provide CNC programming and troubleshooting support to manufacturing engineering and shop‑floor teams.
- Support new and rebuilt machine startups and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide operator training related to CNC programming, machine operation, and process changes.
- Develop and troubleshoot advanced CNC routines, including macro‑based programming and probing routines.
- Support tooling and fixturing requirements associated with CNC machine tools.
- Develop and maintain workstation instructions and standard work for CNC‑related processes.
- Establish and maintain inspection and quality documentation as required.
- Support standard tooling consumption rates and minimum tooling inventory requirements.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, productivity, and delivery.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, operations, quality, and other stakeholders.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively within a team‑oriented, matrixed manufacturing environment.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced environment and actively support positive process and operational change.
Required Technical Skills:
- CNC Mastercam – Required
- VERICUT Software – Required
- Strong CNC programming and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with advanced CNC machine controls and programming methodologies.
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills:
- Fanuc CNC Controls
- At least 1 year of experience with high‑level machine tool controls, including:
- Sub‑routines and macro programming
- Renishaw probing routines
- Variable‑based programming
- Closed Loop Machining (CLM)
- Experience with multiple CNC controls, including:
- Fanuc
- Okuma
- Experience with Siemens NX and/or Esprit 2000.
- Experience with 3D modeling/CAD software such as Inventor or NX.
- Experience working with large‑scale components and/or exotic materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university OR
- High school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
- At least 2 additional years of manufacturing or operations experience.
- Demonstrated hands‑on CNC programming and manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience supporting process improvement or manufacturing engineering projects.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and inspection requirements.
