Job summary

TekPro in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Process Programmer to join our precision shop. This full-time, direct-hire role focuses on creating and validating CNC programs for milling and turning, using CAD models and GD&T to craft precise toolpaths.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC programming in a machining environment.
• Ability to read GD&T and apply it to setups.
• Experience with milling and turning operations.
• Familiarity with CAM software workflows and toolpath optimization.
• Hands-on machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, refine, and validate CNC programs for milling and turning.
• Use blueprints and CAD models to develop toolpaths.
• Select tooling, set speeds/feeds to balance throughput and quality.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production to improve processes.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce cycle times.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues on the shop floor.
