Job summary

Morris Group, Inc. is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to service CNC production equipment across the southeast U.S.

You will travel from customer sites, perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic maintenance, and train customer staff on safety and preventive tasks. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Class D license, 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, strong problem-solving, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Valid Class D License in good standing.
• 3-5 years of validated experience within the manufacturing industry. Maintenance & repair and/or a broad shop background – is a plus.
• Attention to detail with a technical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English verbal and written communication.
• Basic digital literacy and solid understanding of MS Office, Word and Outlook and other business programs.
• Optimally communicate in person and over the phone with customer and co-workers applying customer relation skills.
• Must be adaptable to changes and able to take care of change, delays, or general work-related issues.
• Present a professional image.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel from home to Customer facilities with occasional overnight hotel stays.
• Research machine parts and service using manuals and resources.
• Maintain safety and a clean, orderly work area.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
