A machinery services company in St. Louis, MO is looking for a Preventive Maintenance Service Technician. Job description

Preventive Maintenance Service Technician

Contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the Hartwig team to repair and inspect their equipment to prevent expensive machine failures from occurring.

This position supports our Midwest Region. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience who wants to learn about CNC machines.

Main responsibilities of this full‑time role based in the St. Louis, MO area include:

• Conducting efficient and timely preventive maintenance on CNC machine tools, including changing fluids, filters and checking accuracy of calibrations.
• Recommending modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processes.
• Training and instructing customers on preventive maintenance best practices and Hartwig services.
• Scheduling preventive maintenance customer visits.
• Conducting inventory counts.
• Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system daily.
• Traveling to customer sites, usually within 2 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel.

Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:

• Above average mechanical and electrical aptitude.

• Someone who doesn't mind getting dirty or working in hot/cold environments.
• Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicle insurability.
