Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a skilled Press Pad Operator for the second shift (3:30pm–12am, M-F) in Mansfield, TX. You will troubleshoot high-tech presses, set up equipment, verify machine settings and ensure quality parts through careful inspection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years experience in metalworking or CNC environment preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, or indicators, perform visual inspection.
• Ability to interpret detailed drawings and blueprints for quality checks.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following OSHA rules and wearing PPE.
• Perform advanced set-ups on equipment, install tools and fixtures, verify machine control settings, run first piece and check specifications.
• Select, load and test computer programs for each job, adjust offsets and machine speeds.
• Monitor machine operation, inspect parts during run, adjust to maintain specifications.
• Troubleshoot problems, repair equipment, disassemble and replace defective components.
• Replace, reset and sharpen tools when necessary; perform general machine maintenance.
• Complete inspections, record findings, and log downtime and shift communications.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
