Job summary

American StaffCorp is seeking a Press Brake Operator for a metal fabrication environment. You will set up, program, and operate CNC press brake equipment to form sheet metal according to engineering blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities include machine setup, programming, material handling, quality inspection, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols while maintaining tool integrity and process accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication layouts.
• Strong shop math, including bend allowances and geometry.
• Experience with hand and power tools and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
• Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: select dies and tooling and install per job specs.
• Programming: program CNC press brake controllers to bend metal to exact angles.
• Material Handling: load, align, and unload heavy sheets and parts.
• Quality Assurance: inspect dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintenance: perform routine maintenance on press brake and tooling.
• Safety Compliance: follow OSHA PPE rules and keep the work area safe.
