Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math skills and a willingness to learn Press Brake equipment.
• Excellent communication in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist primary Press Brake Operators with material handling, staging, and organized part movement.
• Perform basic part cleanup, including removing tabs and micro-joints, deburring, labeling, and organizing finished parts.
• Retrieve tooling, dies, and materials as directed by operators or leads.
• Learn shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and basic machine terminology.
• Observe experienced operators to learn bend sequences and machine functions for advancement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following safety rules and instructions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety personnel to ensure correct material flow.

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated CNC Press Brake Operator Associate to join our Sheet Metal Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential logistical support in the fabrication shop while building a technical foundation in machine operation. The ideal candidate will focus on material handling, staging materials, and performing basic part cleanup while observing senior staff to learn tooling, bend sequences, and machine functions. You will work closely with primary operators to maintain an organized workflow and support safe operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist primary Press Brake Operators with material handling, staging, and organized part movement.
• Perform basic part cleanup, including removing tabs and micro-joints, deburring, labeling, and organizing finished parts.
• Retrieve specific tooling, dies, and materials as directed by operators or leads.
• Learn shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and basic machine terminology.
• Observe experienced operators to develop an understanding of bend sequences and machine functions to prepare for advancement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by following all safety rules and instructions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety personnel to ensure the correct flow of materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic math skills and a strong willingness to learn Press Brake equipment.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt to a constantly changing environment, and maintain positive teamwork relationships.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs following all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, with consistent physical activity throughout the daily routine.
