Job summary

Cogent Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabricator to lead the operation of CNC Press Brake and Laser Cutting equipment, producing high-precision sheet metal components for custom-built machinery.

You will set up and run CNC laser cutters and press brakes, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role offers a 4-day work week, competitive pay, and full benefits including PTO.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC press brakes and/or laser cutters in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of bend allowances, bend deductions, and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• CNC Machine Operation — Set up and operate CNC laser cutters and press brakes to cut and form sheet metal.
• Blueprint Interpretation — Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, fabrication drawings, and flat patterns.
• Quality Assurance — Inspect parts throughout production using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other precision tools.
• Material Handling & Maintenance — Safely load/unload heavy sheet metal and perform basic daily machine maintenance.
