Job summary

Chart, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in New Prague, MN to set up, operate, and monitor CNC plasma, CNC waterjet, and plate blaster machines. The role requires safe operation, minor maintenance, and keeping production records in a first-shift lineup.

The job entails working with various metals, using hand tools, and operating cranes/forklifts while following strict safety procedures. Expect a dynamic shop environment with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with various metals preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools.
• Familiarity with measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate, and monitor multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment, including saws.
• Ability to troubleshoot multiple machines
• Safe operation of equipment.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on all assigned machines.
• Maintain assigned shop equipment, hand tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes/hoist and forklifts.
• Maintain required production records.
• Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work station with equipment in safe operating condition.
• May be asked to work in other areas as company needs require
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
