Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures is seeking a CNC – Plasma Cutting Machine Operator for our Clinton, IL location. The role involves operating and maintaining a CNC plasma cutter to fabricate parts from metal plates and sheets, ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.

The operator will set up the machine, load materials, adjust cutting parameters, and verify dimensions with precision tools, while adhering to health and safety procedures and documenting production activities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a plasma CNC machine in manufacturing/fabrication.
• Ability to read tape measures.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety procedures and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the CNC plasma cutting machine per drawings or program numbers.
• Load/unload raw materials using overhead crane or forklift.
• Input/download programs, adjust settings, and run test cuts to meet specs.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure quality.
