Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Press Brake Machine Operator to join our Clinton, IL team. You will set up and run a hydraulic press brake, interpret blueprints, and program CNC settings to bend metal parts to exact specifications.

You will inspect parts with precision tools, perform routine maintenance, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Prior experience and technical training are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience operating press brake machines in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Strong math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with CNC controls and programming (as applicable).
• Ability to read complex blueprints, drawings and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic press brake machines with dies and tooling.
• Read blueprints and determine specifications, dimensions and bending sequences.
• Program or adjust CNC settings to achieve precise bending.
• Position and align sheets, manage material flow, and ensure safe operation.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges for tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any issues to supervision.
• Adhere to health, safety and PPE requirements.
