Job summary

Dauch is hiring a CNC Operator to operate and support production equipment in our Ridgway, PA facility. You will perform machine operation, tool changes, inspections, and process monitoring to ensure quality and safety in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading parts, adjusting sizes, recording inspections in Plex and SPC systems, and maintaining 5S standards on the shop floor. Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing background preferred with ability to operate production machines.
• Ability to gauge and measure parts and perform SPC quality checks.
• Experience with X & R charts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and equipment safety requirements when applicable.
• Perform work center startup and shutdown activities according to established procedures.
• Load and unload parts from production equipment.
• Adjust machine sizes and change inserts as required.
• Inspect parts according to process sheets, work instructions, control plans, and standardized work requirements.
• Record inspections and process checks in Plex and SPC systems.
• Change and preset tooling to maintain proper machine operation.
• Identify, process, and control non-conforming material in accordance with NCM procedures.
• Understand and utilize standard communication forms and production documentation.
• Follow standardized process control methods and operating procedures.
• Operate quality control equipment, including CMM systems, and perform re-honing activities as required.
• Understand and utilize 2D barcode systems and associated product information.
• Support program verification and first-piece setup activities.
• Maintain workplace organization and compliance with 5S standards.
• Follow Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and proper labeling practices.
• Utilize basic Plex system functions required for production and quality activities.
• Meet physical requirements as outlined in the Physical Demand Analysis.
• Other duties as assigned
