Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a CNC Operator for our Savanna, IL manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components, inspect parts for quality, and make basic equipment adjustments.

Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help support reliable, high-quality production. This is an on-site, full-time hourly position on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and follow verbal and written work instructions
• Basic mathematical and computer skills
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments to verify product specifications
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with coworkers and internal customers
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to support production schedules and team operations

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to manufacture components according to established specifications and work instructions
• Inspect finished components to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints and use basic measuring instruments to check parts against specifications
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency
• Complete production records, quality documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S workplace organization standards
• Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support production goals and resolve issues
