Job summary

• Able to use drawings and shop instruments.
• General knowledge of mechanical or electrical principles.
• Make decisions with initiative and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload machines and set tools.
• Interpret operation and layout sheets to set tools for automatic cycles.
• Perform boring, facing, turning and other operations.
• Follow drawings, instructions, routings, and specifications.
• Maintain tools and handle parts; operate machine efficiently.
• Audit tool wear and maintain cutting edges.
• Care for tools, ensure quality, report defects, safety compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep area clean.
• Part sizes up to 50" with tolerance up to .005, occasionally .0015.
