Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a CNC Operator in Stafford Springs, CT (Stafford Springs area). The role pays $24.00 - $32.00 per hour on 1st shift from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with duties including operating CNC Mills, Lasers, and Turret Press equipment and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, perform first-piece inspections, and have strong math skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn across manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mills, Lasers, and Turret Press equipment
• Maintain the highest quality standards and stop production when quality requirements are not being met
• Perform first-piece inspections as required
• Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications
• Deburr and finish parts as required
• Perform basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
• Develop an understanding of all aspects of the Fabrication Department
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of CNC programming
• Assist in other areas of the company as needed
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
