Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC machine tools, ensuring parts are manufactured accurately and safely. The role involves interpreting drawings, planning setups, and maintaining tooling inventory in a team-oriented tool room environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years CNC operator experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC tools, Mastercam, blueprint reading, precision measuring, troubleshooting.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

  • CNC operation and machining support.
  • Analyze and interpret drawings and blueprints; plan machine setups with material, tolerances, tooling, lubricants, and feeds.
  • Use Mastercam and conversational programs to create forms, code parts for CNC, and manufacture to specs.
  • Use precision measuring and gauging tools during and after machining; determine inspection standards for completed work and future repairs.
  • Tool room support, safety, and teamwork.
  • Maintain inventory of CNC-related tools and supplies; keep work area neat and stocked.
  • Observe plant safety rules and participate in tool design/process reviews; communicate safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and tooling issues.
  • Participate as a member of the Tool Room Team and support best practices.

Position Summary

The CNC Operator sets up and operates CNC machine tools to manufacture parts accurately and efficiently while maintaining tooling inventory, supporting quality standards, and working safely in the tool room environment.

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities
  • CNC operation and machining support
  • Analyze and interpret drawings and blueprints and plan machine setups with consideration for material type, tolerances, cutting tools, lubricants, coolants, and machine feeds.
  • Use Mastercam and conversational programs to create forms, code parts for CNC use, and manufacture parts to required specifications.
  • Use precision measuring and gauging tools during and after machining and determine standards for inspection of completed work and future repair needs.

Skills And Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CNC operator experience preferred. Previous stamping experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools, Mastercam, blueprint reading, precision measuring, troubleshooting, and general manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate effectively and work with little supervision.
Work Environment

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment that is adjacent to the shop work environment. The employee must be aware of potential hazards, including, but not limited to, working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, operating vehicles, exposure to electrical current, high temperatures, and chemicals. It's important to maintain a high level of alertness and caution while performing tasks in this work environment.

Salary Description

$20.00 to $24.00 (pending experience)
