Job summary

Grothouse is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - CNC as a gateway to Design Engineering, located in Germansville & Schnecksville, PA. The role starts on the shop floor with CNC programming, setup, tooling, fixturing, and manufacturing one-of-a-kind solid wood pieces, with a clear path to a design engineering position.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and progress through hands-on learning. A strong academic background and CAD/CAM proficiency are required to grow into the design role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on machining mindset with ability to work on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Spend 12–24 months mastering CNC machining of solid wood, including programming, setup, tooling, fixturing, and production of one-of-a-kind work.
• After mastery, train your replacement and transition into a design engineering role.
