Job summary

Chromalloy Carson City is seeking a CNC Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC and conventional machines that manufacture and repair critical aerospace components. The role emphasizes precision, quality, and adherence to specifications, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

The position offers a night shift with a schedule of 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, a shift differential of $2–$4, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CNC machining or machine operation experience preferred.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC and conventional machines.
• Load and edit machine programs as needed.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• Produce parts to engineering and production specifications.
• Inspect and measure parts using precision measuring tools.
• Perform minor part modifications and finishing work.
• Follow assembly, production, and quality requirements.
• Utilize computerized production tracking systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.
