Position Summary

The CNC Operator operates assigned CNC Milling machines to produce parts that meet the dimensional specifications of the engineered drawings. This includes conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation, and inspection sheets. The individual works with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations are followed daily.

Essential Functions
  • Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from CNC machines.
  • Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed and instructed.
  • Completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets accurately.
  • Inspects products according to instructions such as part drawings, travelers, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Follows good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations daily.
  • Adheres to the company’s Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all policies.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, completing training and maintaining knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Represents the company professionally, upholding high standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to perform visual inspections with a microscope on small parts, with strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate math skills, especially in geometric and trigonometric formulas, are a plus.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, able to multitask, and work independently.
  • Team player, open to new ideas, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Regularly lifting/moving up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
