Position Summary

The CNC Operator B operates assigned CNC Mill/Turn machines to produce parts meeting the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. This includes conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation and inspection sheets. The individual works with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations are followed daily.

Essential Functions

• Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from CNC machine
• Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed and instructed
• Accurately completes quality control documentation and inspection sheets
• Inspects product according to instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications
• Follows good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations daily
• Adheres to the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all policies
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, completing required training and maintaining knowledge of compliance
• Represents the company professionally, upholding high standards of ethical and socially responsible conduct in all interactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform visual inspections with a microscope on small parts; attention to detail
• Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
• Self-starter, well-organized, able to multi-task with minimal supervision
• Team player, open to new ideas, self-motivated, committed to continuous learning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands

• Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed
• Regularly lifting/moving up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required, including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
