Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Carson, CA is seeking a CNC Operator to prepare and operate CNC machines for drilling, turning, grinding and milling. You will read blueprints, prep parts, load materials and run tests to ensure outputs meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years CNC experience, a HS diploma or GED, and proficiency with Haas controllers and precision measuring tools. You will work with Quality and Engineering to resolve non-conformities and document production metrics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC operator and experience with precision measuring tools is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints mechanical/engineering documents and drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Must be able to setup and operate using Haas controller with tool and material probe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform drilling, turning, grinding, milling tasks.
• Reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and other specifications; prep parts and load raw materials onto machinery.
• Perform test run to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications; monitor and adjust as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometer, calipers, and gauges.
• Document the quality and quantity of the produced parts; communicate with Quality and Engineering on non-conforming parts.
• Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Operate Haas machinery with 3+2 axis control.

Job Summary

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, milling, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Required Experience and Education

Base Compensation: USD 29.00 - 34.00 Paid Hourly
