Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is hiring a CNC Operator for the 4th shift in Minneapolis to set up and run CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines, producing precision aerospace components. You will interpret blueprints, monitor quality, and document production while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of CNC experience or equivalent schooling, familiarity with machining processes, and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working on 3-axis CNC or ASM machining and assembly OR equivalent schooling.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC 3-axis milling and/or turning machines.
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Ability to perform machining operations including milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning.
• Understanding of machine shop safety practices, PPE requirements, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required and work around oils, coolants, and other manufacturing fluids

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Perform machining operations including milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring devices to verify conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow all Honeywell Aerospace safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on prototype, development, and production activities.
