Job summary

Alianza in Gastonia, NC is hiring a 1st Shift CNC Operator to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines for precision metal components. You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and ensure quality while working in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC experience, strong measurement skills, and a commitment to safe, efficient production. 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with DOE pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of CNC machining experience in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret machining specs.
• Knowledge of CNC setup, tooling, and basic adjustments.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery per specs.
• Load/unload materials and finished parts safely.
• Read blueprints and manufacturing instructions accurately.
• Select cutting tools and fixtures for production needs.
• Adjust speeds/feeds and tool positions per procedure.
• Inspect parts for dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify and report malfunctions or defects.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep a clean area.
• Maintain production records and quality checks.
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet daily goals.
