Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear in Clarksville, TX is seeking a skilled machinist to setup and operate turning and milling cells. You will work from process sheets, blueprints and instructions to produce components to spec.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to read English, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. First shift candidates are preferred, with standard hours 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, in a clean, safety-conscious facility.

Qualifications

• Average math skills and ability to read English.
• Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Able to stand for the full 8-hour shift and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Work from process sheets, blueprints, or written/verbal instructions to perform production tasks.
• Maneuver large, heavy parts manually or with a crane.
• Setup, operate, and tend machines used to process components.
• Install, align, and lock dies, punches, blades, or other fixtures for safe operation.
• Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner.
• Check and inspect operation against tolerances.
• Work in other areas or departments as assigned.
• First Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm (Monday – Friday)
