Job description

We have an excellent contract-to-hire position for a CNC Operator to join a leading company located in the Yorba Linda, CA area.

Pay Range: $24.50 - $26.22

This role involves performing day-to-day machine operations in a production environment to manufacture titanium parts.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee machine operations and supervise staff as needed
2. Collaborate regularly with CNC Operators I-III
3. Coordinate with quality assurance and quality control to ensure product quality
4. Perform shop computations related to work dimensions
5. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments regularly

Basic Hiring Criteria

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. At least one (1) year of experience with CNC Swiss-type machines
3. At least one (1) year of experience with screw machines

Desired Qualifications

1. Ability to lift 25 pounds
2. 20/20 vision, with or without aid
3. Strong mechanical aptitude
4. Knowledge of safety and hazardous material regulations
5. Understanding of FDA Quality System and ISO 9001 requirements after training
6. Basic CNC programming skills, including uploading/downloading programs
7. Proficiency in oral communication and reading comprehension
8. Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings
9. Technical skills to produce finished screw machine parts after setup
10. Capability to load bar stock and change tools independently
11. Skill in performing tool offsets to match blueprints
12. Basic data entry skills and familiarity with PC
13. SAP knowledge is a plus
14. Comfort with electronic documentation systems for screw machine production
15. Ability to operate multiple machine types and perform simple setups
