Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a CNC Operator in Grand Prairie, TX to set up and run various CNC tools, including lathes and mills. The role requires interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring instruments to verify parts.

You will maintain multiple machines, adjust tooling, and ensure safe, efficient production. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of machining experience or related trade school training, with strong attention to detail and communication of any issues or corrective

Qualifications

• 1 year machining experience or trade school training.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be able to utilize common machine shop measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to inspect and qualify machined parts accordingly.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices a must.
• Must communicate any machining errors, and or communicate corrective actions clearly and timely.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machine tools including lathes and mills.
• Keep CNC machines running and inspect parts for quality.
• Adjust offsets and locations, and change inserts and cutting tools as needed.
• Tear down setups and return tooling to proper locations for next setup.
• Develop knowledge of speeds, feeds, and surface call outs for various parts.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper fluid levels around machines.
• Adhere to safety procedures and operate equipment safely.

# CNC OPERATORHot JobGrand Prairie, TX 75050## OverviewSalary Range$21.00 - $23.00 Hourly## Description**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** The operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of various CNC machine tools, which include Lathes and Mills.* The operator is required to be or become proficient with using K&N’s network for retrieving programs.* The operator will be responsible for keeping the CNC machine tools running and checking the parts being run. This includes the operation of several machine tools at one time.* The operator must be able to adjust offsets and locations, as well as change inserts and cutting tools, as necessary.* The operator must be able to tear down setups, and return tooling to its proper location and get machine ready for next setup.* The operator should have/or gain full knowledge and understanding of speeds, feeds, and surface call outs of the various machined parts.* The operator will be responsible for cleanup in and around the machines, as well as maintaining proper fluid levels.* The operator must adhere to and follow all K&N’s safety procedures and continuously work and operate all machinery in a safe manner.## Qualifications**Experience, Skills & Education:*** 1 year machining experience or trade school training* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
