Job summary

Orthman Conveying Systems (OCS) is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes while producing components to engineering specifications.**What You'll Do*** Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills and lathes* Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders* Select tooling and adjust machine controls and offsets* Maintain required dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes* Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments* Complete production documentation and report deviations or nonconforming parts* Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean* Communicate production status and equipment issues to supervisors, engineers, and team members* Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment**What You'll Bring*** High school diploma or GED* At least 2 years of CNC machining experience operating both mills and lathes* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings* Knowledge of G-code, tooling, speeds, and feeds* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality* Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team* Vocational or technical training is preferred**Work Environment and Physical Requirements**This position works in a manufacturing environment with loud noise and non-climate-controlled conditions.
