Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines, following inch and metric drawings. You will measure, inspect, and adjust parts, using gauges and fixtures, while maintaining tool calibration and safety.

The role requires familiarity with Haas controls, G and M codes, and DNC systems. Applicants should have 4+ years in CNC operations, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CNC certification or trade school exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in CNC setup/operation
• CNC programming training/experience preferred
• Industry standard blueprints and GD&T knowledge required

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines (3 & 4 axis)
• Perform machine setups, measurement, inspection, and troubleshooting
• Maintain tools and fixtures and ensure quality per specifications
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean work areas
