You will load and prove out Mastercam programs, monitor tool wear, and adjust processes to ensure on-time production. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills are essential in a precision manufacturing environment.

This role requires hands?on experience with tooling, fixturing, offsets, and first?article verification, as well as the ability to support and run programs created in Mastercam. The machinist plays a key role in maintaining part quality, process stability, and on time production in a precision manufacturing environment
1. CNC Machine Setup & Operation Perform full machine setups on Haas and DMG CNC mills and lathes, including tooling installation, work holding, fixturing, and offset adjustments. Load, prove out, and run CNC programs generated in Mastercam. Conduct first?article inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications. Support production runs by monitoring tool wear and making offset or process adjustments as needed. Setup and Operation of CNC vertical machining centers Setup and Operation of horizontal lathes MDI (Manual Data Input) programming, using Inspection using manual gauges and instruments Understanding of GD&T and ability to read 2-D drawings Monitor an inspect the part throughout the machining process Participates in Lean manufacturing events Mastercam & Process Support Work from Mastercam?generated programs; make minor edits at the control when required. Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve setup efficiency, cycle time, and repeatability. Follow setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions to establish consistent processes. Quality & Inspection Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Inspect first?piece and in?process parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges. Maintain tight tolerances and proactively resolve quality issues. Continuous Improvement & Safety Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, materials, or machine performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and process standardization.
