Reader Precision Solutions in Wisconsin seeks a CNC Milling Setup Technician with 3+ years' experience. The role sets up and operates CNC milling centers, loads programs, conducts first-piece and prove-outs, and collaborates with Engineering on tool paths and process improvements.

You will train operators, troubleshoot issues, document setups, and maintain quality per ISO procedures. Works Monday–Friday 6:30 AM–3:00 PM with possible overtime; benefits eligible and a strong focus on continuous

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC milling setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or CNC certifications preferred.
• Proficient in CNC milling machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and program editing.
• Experience with part and program prove-outs, process optimization, and cycle time improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving tooling, fixturing, machine performance, and machining processes.
• Ability to train and mentor machine operators.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines per drawings and specs.
• Perform complete machine setups including tooling, workholding, fixtures, and program loading.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and prove-outs to ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Edit, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering to validate new programs and tooling strategies.
• Provide technical support to operators and mentor them on safe practices.
